We had our baby at Sisters Hospital, and were told before we left that the in-home nurse visit would be a co-pay ($25 on our plan). So we said OK, sure beats loading up the car and driving to the doctors with a newborn. Then the nurse comes, does some routine checks and talks for half an hour, and tells us it will be a co-pay for my wife and the baby. So, our total went from $25 to $50. Ok, that was fine, still beats a trip to the doctors. Then we get our bill in the mail: $180!!!! For the exact same service we could have gotten at the doctors office for a $25 co-pay. We were lied to TWICE by their nurses about the cost, and we never would have used the service if we knew it would be so expensive.

DO NOT use Seton Home Care for newborn visits, they are not honest and you will end up paying almost 8x's as much as you would at a Dr. visit.
